Kassadie + Mitch's Elegant Fall Wedding in Illinois

Fall weddings.. we can't get enough of them, especially when they look as beautiful as the one you're about to see! Our real bride, Kassadie, married her forever guy in what looks to us like a magical place taken straight out of a fairytale. Crisp autumn colors, rows of beautiful trees and fallen leaves as far as the eye can see.

Kassadie wore our Maelys, a classic wedding gown with sultry details, and she could not have looked more stunning! The wedding was photographed by husband and wife team Caitlin and Luke Bachtold - and all we can say is WOW! these two captured every detail in the most vivid way. Enjoy!

How they met..

My husband and I met our freshman year of college in a science class. He sat behind me in class and said hi to me every morning. After a few weeks, he asked me out and the rest is history!

Mitch's proposal..

He proposed a few days before Christmas in 2016. I am a fifth grade teacher and had just finished my first semester teaching. He made sure my family and friends were there to see it. He decorated the outside porch with Christmas lights and rose petals. It was very sweet.

What I loved most about wedding planning was spending time with my mom and my aunt as we contacted different vendors and organized everything. I enjoyed picking out our food for our reception which included: chicken tenders, sliders, macaroni and cheese, mozzarella sticks and home made potato chips. Another aspect that I enjoyed was picking out my dress and the bridesmaids dresses. Lastly, I enjoyed a DIY project that we did with our lanterns for our centerpieces. I spray painted them silver with sparkles and they turned out beautifully.

The process of finding my dress was a roller coaster! I had chosen a dress from another store. When it came in, it was too small and the alterations that it would take to let it out completely changed the structure and integrity of the dress..The dress sat in my closet for 6 months. Finally, when were looking for bridesmaids dresses we went to Adore Bridal and Specialty in Morton, Illinois.. A few weeks later, I called Adore and explained my desire to want to come back to pick out another dress for me to wear. They were beyond accommodating. Lilli and Andrea at spent 3 hours with me finding the dress that I loved and felt comfortable in. They did not make me feel as if I had failed with the first dress, they made sure to order a size larger just in case, and did not make me feel as if purchasing my dress 6 months before the wedding was an issue. They were kind, accommodating, and reassuring throughout the entire process. Adore completely changed my attitude regarding my dress. I went from completely stressed and self conscious to completely at ease. I will always recommend Adore. They will always be very special to me.

My favorite thing about our wedding is that we were able to get married outside, in November, in Illinois! The temperatures were unseasonably cold, but we made it work! We purchased Ugg throw blankets to be used as shawls for me and the bridesmaids. They turned out beautifully! I, of course, loved spending time with my family from our of town as well. Additionally, we were married at the same venue that my parents were married at!

Our wedding theme was simple, classy, and elegant. All of our decorations were white with silver, glitter accents. We had our reception at Illinois State University's Hancock Stadium Clubhouse, at the university that we both attended. This fit our tailgating vibe that we were going for. Ultimately, we wanted to have good food, good music, and spend time with family.

Congratulations, Kassadie and Mitch! Your wedding was beautiful and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
