Jordan and Nick celebrated their nuptials at the beautiful Sandpearl Resort in Florida. Their wedding was elegant with an intimate feel and featured pretty details and the dreamiest colors including burgundies, pinks, and creams!
Jordan wore the Orion, which she found at our Ohio retailer, Carrie Kariobo Bridal, and could not have looked more beautiful. The dress features a sultry halter neckline, ruffle layers of soft tulle, and the bodice is adorned with crystal beaded lace appliqués, beaded lace straps, and a low scoop back that is accented with a jewel beaded strap. Their love story..
Nick and I met in college at High Point University in North Carolina. He was a senior and I was a freshmen. We were both participating in the music department at our college and we met in a class.
I was born and raised in Florida so we have always loved traveling to Disney. Nick is from Ohio but he loved going to Disney with his family when he was growing up as well. He knows we both love the Boardwalk area at Disney World so one evening when our families were both in town, he and I took a walk around the boardwalk. He went to “tie his shoe” and when I turned around he was on one knee. After we took some photos together, we met up with our family at an Italian restaurant for an evening of celebration!
Finding the dress..
I took my mom, sister, future mother in law and future sister in law for a fun day of dress shopping! We were in Cincinnati on what is called Bridal Row. It’s a street with so many bridal shops. I saw great reviews for Carrie Karibo so we made an appointment there.
We worked with a lovely woman named Sherry. I found some dresses and had her add them to my dressing room. When I went to try on this one particular dress I had realized I didn’t choose that or put it in the room. It turned out my mom saw the Evelyn Bridal Gown and knew it was the one. I tried it on and everyone started crying. It was meant to be!
Favorite moments..
There were so many favorite moments contained in one of our favorite days! I loved getting ready with my girls the morning of the wedding, I loved our chapel ceremony and I loved seeing Nick as I walked down the aisle
I am in Medical School so planning a wedding during my 2nd year of school had its challenges. Luckily, most everything now and days can be communicated via email. When I had breaks between semesters we would plan all the “in person” meetings. It worked out so smoothly! We were engaged for a year and a half so it gave us plenty of time to plan everything. My favorite parts of planning the wedding was the bridal gown shopping experience, choosing our venue and of course the food/cake tasting.
The wedding theme..
We were going for a classy and elegant look! We had burgundies, pinks, and creams In our linens and flowers. We had an amazing 3 course sit down dinner followed by some amazing cake and a fun night of dancing!
Congratulations, Jordan & Nick!
